We did out first take-away coffee in many weeks and took it to the park. Believe it or not, where I first parked in the direct sun, we were too hot sipping our drinks in the car, so we drove to a shadier spot.
Sue shot one of our few, non-comedic, isolation selfies from the shadier spot.
After sipping our coffee, we ambled through the park. Although it has subsided a lot, the river remains higher than usual. I had to take a picture of record.
Then, I began to shoot some video footage. I liked the idea of videoing the river, so we drove to two other spots from which to also shoot. I thought readers might like to see our version of the Mississippi in other than still pictures. (About 50 seconds and a wee bit shaky in spots because it is handheld.)

What a moment! This lady was attempting to film a funny video putting on a mask with "creature hands" when a hummingbird landed on her. What an unforgettable experience!
A few COVIDish bits and pieces
There was a very small anti-isolation demonstration in front of our provincial legislature. Our premier called them yahoos and not fine people as some other nameless leader has done.
I've seen photos of crowded beaches in Florida and empty beaches in California: proof that not all Americans are yahoos, which one might think from the news, but some sure are.
Although the province of Quebec is fighting hard, Montreal has a higher rate of COVID infection than Italy. This virus is a heck of a thing.

We did another drive thru fast food yesterday after zoom church. Taco Bell for tacos. Took them to eat in the parking lot, then came back home. My younger sister said when we face timed later why choose fast food? Easier I said.
Lovely to hear of your fine outing. I enjoyed so much Sue's rainbows in the previous post, but it's nice to see the two of you looking almost like regular people. :-)
Your river is lovely. The water in the Cuyahoga is high just now. We've had a lot of rain. But Saturday and today are full of glorious sunshine. Love that amazing photo of the hummingbird. They definitely are attracted to all things red.

Thank God, David and I are asymptomatic so far. I didn't know about the rate of infection in Montreal being higher than Italy's.
We also had a wonderful day of sunshine and warm temps on 1 day of the weekend, the same Saturday as you enjoyed. Since then it's been rain and gloom. Thanks for the river video which was rather soothing. Also thanks for the heads up on the free Luminar3. I have been using PhotoscapeX and Fotor, free. My last copy of Photoshop Elements would not function after Apple upgraded to 64-bit apps and I don't lan to re-buy an Adobe product. They are too costly and update way too often for more $.

Yes, we do have some not too smart people in Hawaii who demonstrated also about their right to do whatever they please. Some wore masks, but didn’t social distance at all. And if they get the virus, I’m sure they won’t think they were the ones at fault.

It's so good getting out, isn't it?
I've had hummingbirds hover closely to check me out if I'm wearing a red hat or anything red, but to sit there still like that for such a long time ... man, I'd be feeling pretty special if I was that gal! -Kate
