A Selfie and a Sulky

Although we may run out of funny seflie options, we aren't there yet. We are feeling very exotic but, at the same time, appropriately masked. How do think it suits me?

I was hoping to spot young ones at the pond. I didn't. But I did see a goose totally ignoring a cavalcade of ducks.

So, I went for a short drive along Quarry Road where I had seen a bit of an odd sight in passing on the previous day — a sulky on a car — in a shed/garage.

There's nothing much new with regards to COVID in Ontario. The trend remains positive (red line), but the numbers are still too high. We need to move form 400 new daily cases to 200. I mean that's what the authorities would like to see happen before giving way too much.

There will be a tiny bit of loosening of restrictions next week, but the bulk of measures will be in place for at least another week if not two. Even then, I expect only a very cautious and slow approach. I'm afraid that there will be no return to normal for a very long time and only after a vaccine. Imagine the effort it will take to vaccinate almost 8 billion people.

An interesting way to store the sulky. I hope he doesn't need the car for a while. Gives a new meaning to horse power.

I'm glad you are staying masked, you and the missus look quite exotic. Made me smile. And I'm also glad to see that your trend lines are going in the correct direction. I didn't know those contraptions are called sulkies. You keep on teaching me new stuff. :-)

Exotic masks there, as well as head gear that's very decorative! But I recognize those eyes! Oh I saw baby ducks yesterday at the lake. But it will take a while before I go through the photos and post them. The parents weren't that cautious but did keep eating in one family, and in the other, the dad wouldn't let the ducklings get out of the water...like that would keep them safe (from me at least!)

Delightful selfies today! I hope the numbers everywhere will continue going down, however slowly.

Best mask yet! I’ve found that the geese and ducks get along well.

I love the masks! I would wear one out if they actually existed anywhere. I hope your numbers go down, and ours too. It's a discouraging and long term fight, I'm afraid. I'd never heard of a sulky before. (besides the adjective for how I'm feeling right now)

Like those face masks. You both look exotic.

I think that's your best selfie yet … I would say the eyes have it. As to the covid-19 scare I envy your country's sensible approach. We here in the U.S. have nothing even close to sensible … the big oaf in the White House cares about nothing but himself and we are paying a huge price for his Ego.

You are having too much fun with the selfies!

I agree with Red. And I think any vaccine will be a long time coming.

Exotic, yes! Great that you have masks even in your selfies.
Odd way to store a sulky!
I agree that I think this is going to go on for a very long time.
Hang in there! :)

I once read a classified ad to my mother that said: "Horse, sulky for sale..." I told her that it might be hard to sell a horse with a "bad" disposition and she managed to stifle a laugh as she set me straight. I still remember my embarrassment to this day!

Yes, I concur that the selfies here were among the best in this series. Good to know you won’t be running out anytime soon. Hopefully, you will be able to get out more before that happens. No ducklings around the river here, yet. I was wondering how that sulky got atop the car and mire importantly, why? It was indeed an unusual sighting and one that I would have snapped too.

Very lovely, the two of you!
That sulky is a hoot!
Have you seen the guidelines for the Quebec schools opening? I think many would rather stay home. It's crazy. The premier is usually smarter than this.

Your selfies make me smile (laugh) every time. You’re doing a lot better than Maryland and Illinois where my kids are right now.
