Just in passing because there is nothing else to post today, I share a FB post with y'all. It's a request from our local Buy Nothing site.
It flummoxes me that in an eleven word message the poster can't be arsed to actually spell out the main word. I presume the word is meant to be comforter. Eleven words! Can we get any lazier?
If it does mean comforter, what are "browns in it?" Are they referring to color or stuffing? They also need a comma.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me started on text speak!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of is they ran out of characters. But it could have been more tidily edited and the grammar is dubious at best!
ReplyDeleteWhy the background decorations if the word in comforter? Doesn't compute in my mind.
ReplyDeleteThere are all sorts of strange abbreviations for even short words. Too much effort for me. I just spell out the WHOLE thing.
ReplyDeleteLazy definitely comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteIt's a new world.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, language evolves with people.
ReplyDeleteClueless.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe.
Lol. I am glad there are no other issues going on, AC.
ReplyDeleteI thought a comft was some kind of bird to cook. Linda in Kansas
