Not long ago, I showed you our new boots and my new red shoes. Then I saw this ↓ on one of my sports sites.
I have since seen similar ads on various pages.
It must be the tracking chips that they put in those C-jabs.
Just in case someone might take me seriously, that last point was sarcasm.
🤪
The trackers are really good. They show me how to buy more of what I already bought, all the time. I expect the boosters keep them going.
ReplyDeleteIt is annoying to me how everything we view is tracked!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are watching, and listening for some as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd just shrug off "big brother watching me." But now I don't even pay it much thought, except the ads that pop up on FB about things I only had thought about. Never put the thought into words on paper, screen or voice. And there are the ads. It may really be too late for humanity!
ReplyDeleteif i happen to search for anything it keeps showing up on other sites to entice me.
ReplyDeleteSince I prefer to do my shopping online, I regularly get adds for things I have purchased or were looking at on other sites. I always think of that movie "Minority Report" starring Tom Cruise. There is a scene where he is walking into a shopping area and all the electronic advertisement videos are being tailored to him as he walks by. That day is soon approaching.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it is because I am a luddite, but this stuff rattles me.
ReplyDeleteThey are watching us.
ReplyDeleteIt's both creepy and clever. I look for items for other people besides myself so you should see some of the crazy ads I get!
ReplyDeleteOf course Big Brother is watching, so behave yourself.
ReplyDeleteAren't you funny!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the popup ads I get baffle me- like "why is this here?"
ReplyDeleteSome of these sites are missing the program. I bought a clothes dryer a few weeks ago. I still see many adds for the same dryer I bought.
ReplyDeleteThe last pair of shoe I bought was under 20 USD and for that price they didn't put in any chips.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe.
In an effort to stop sites from seeing my browsing history, I decided to try what Apple calls Private mode, also known as incognito. I decided to give it a try after ads for a site kept showing up on other pages. The same may have happened with the shoe ads you showed here. Unfortunateky, the Private browsing mode caused other problems which will be the subject of a future post.
ReplyDeleteIt is creepy and why do they try to sell the exact thing I just bought?
ReplyDeleteAnd they were worried about the spy balloon...
ReplyDeleteBefore I got adblocker on my computer, I'd see what I'd looked at online on my FB feed all the time. Now, nope!
