On the Madawaska

We have been to Burnstown a few times but never to their beach. In fact, we didn't even know about it until recently. We wanted a little outing, and from what we learned this new-to-us spot seemed appealing. It was about a 45 minute drive to the lovely Madawaska River. We sat in the park, consumed coffee and sandwiches, and enjoyed the view.

And, just for a change, we took a selfie.

Then, we took a different selfie. I actually moved, so we could get our two heads at about the same size. Sue held my phone while I activated it from my watch. I had a countdown of three to hide the watch and recompose. I think that is what caused the general hilarity.

  1. It looks if you have found a lovely spot for some quiet time. I was sorry to read from your weekend post that you lost a good friend. How lovely to honour them with a quiet think about them. Hopefully we'll see more from the Madawaska River site.

  2. What a lovely pair you are, and a great day with fluffy clouds in blue sky and friendly sunshine...though you all chose the shady side of things.

  3. A great time of year to be visiting our magnificent rivers. I think we will be visiting the Mad in the next couple of weeks.

  6. Well worth the drive for the views! Love the selfies. I struggle with them myself-I grimace, my eyes get very big and they're always too close up of my wrinkles. Yours are good!

  8. What a good idea to take a selfie! I get confused between the Madawaska and the Matawa.

  11. I always love the photos where fun and love just burst out of them. That last one certainly has plenty of that.
