It was still a bit too windy to photograph flowers yesterday, but I tried anyway. I wanted a light, airy photo. This was the closest that I came, but it isn't quite right. I think it is the background colour that is part of the problem. It just doesn't seem right to me.
In the end, I liked this next photo best, even though it wasn't what I was aiming for. I think I do dark better than bright.
Maybe I will try again, but at least I have one shot that I like, and it will do.
Amazing what you can capture with your camera. I like yesterday's photos of the Robin having a water bath among the Forget Me Nots.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo is amazing. The dark green background is perfect for the tiny blue flowers. The light is everything!
ReplyDeleteForget me nots are so tiny -- I applaud the macros. Not easy!
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the dark background better.
ReplyDeleteI agree in the second photo. The contrast works great, not so much in the first. But getting anything in a wind is great.
ReplyDeleteI find both photos lovely & fascinating and find it difficult to select one over the other.
ReplyDeleteYou capture such wonderful scenes every season!
I like the second one better too--more dramatic!
ReplyDeleteI like macro photography. I used to have (probably still do) lens extension tubes for an old DSLR I have that I liked trying to take macro photos with. And, I used to have (and no longer do) a bellows type extension for an old Pentax K-1000 FILM camera I used to have.

I like both images, but the depth of intensity of the colors in #2 has me more attracted to it.

Both are very nice, to my mind. I like the first one for several reasons better than the dark one, but they are both quite lovely. :-)
ReplyDeleteSoft creamy bokeh is really my Cupa. Love the natural light on the flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love forget-me-nots. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! These are amazing, John!
