COVID Birthday and Jab

We did manage to have a little time with Danica on Sunday. We Sue set up a table at the front of the garage where we could put her meagre but good swag and then step way back. We were well beyond the usual 6', so I think we kept in the spirit of no gatherings of multiple households. Besides, we kept the meeting, such as it was, very brief.

She opened her gift, earrings with diamonds, very small diamonds, and they were soon on their way.

I endeavoured to make a garage photo taken at a distance as nice as possible

It was something, and something is better than nothing. Eh?

Yesterday, Sue received her own very fine gift: her COVID jab.

  1. Yeah for both celebrations. My friend volunteers as a "guide" at one of the clinics & she says there are signs everywhere saying "no photography, no selfies" ... which I do & don't understand. It is such a special time & many want to remember it. Nice set up for Dancia's distanced birthday celebration.

  2. @Patio: No signs like that here. One helper even offered to take Sue's pic. It had to be the thumbs-up one.

  3. Great photos, shared from your prints, grabbed while celebrating, etc. I had a granddaughter with her 19th birthday yesterday, on the 19th. Apparently someone has named that convergence of numbers a golden birthday. I missed mine, as most of us over 30 have already. But any new things to celebrate are a good thing.

  5. Any side effect for Sue? Youngest daughter and son in law in Buffalo, NY get their first on Wednesday. They are in their 30s as that age group is not eligible.

  6. should read "now eligible". Sorry!

  7. Sweet 14! Happy Birthday to Danica. I would love to be the proud owner for ear rings with diamonds, such a lovely gift, it will be appreciated a life time.

Congratulations on receiving the jag (funny thing, we say jag here Glasgow, not jab). Definitely a cause of celebrations.

  8. The birthday girl is going to have to pull her hair back to show off the earrings. My offspring love studs and have multiple holes, but the grandkid goes for single on each ear.
So glad you have both been shot and love the progression photos.

  10. What a wonderful way to modify the birthday gathering! I know we are tired of having to do so, but Sue and you kept it special and fun. Yay for vaccination! What did she get or did you already mention it? Hopefully no nasty side effects will ensue.
