Two Realizations

Two realizations this morning.

  1. I had no blog post and no new material.
  2. I hadn't yet done anything much from the week's sledding. That was on Tuesday, and it is Sunday already.
So I did a quickie thing — a pretty silly quickie thing. I composited 5 pics of my one sledding run, and I think my final run ever, into one strip..

The white balance changes throughout as does the background, but this is just for fun, so it doesn't matter.

Maybe I will go through some of the footage of the kids today. It is snowing, and we aren't going anywhere, so . . .

I can't say that I am enthused about it, however.

  1. So hard to do. I need to just sit down and learn masking as well as tonal control. I get distracted.

  2. I am contemplating trying to get some shots of the heavy snow falling off the evergreens. But it is much warmer here by the computer.

  3. This is something similar to what happened to me. I realised that I did not post for a whole month so posted what my wife cooked :-)

  4. That was a good job, AC, especially if it’s your last run.

  5. I quite often have black days. No worries.

  6. I came up against the same realization---this evening. So, I did not post.

  7. Wow! I am awed and impressed with your stitching ability in the photograph!!!!! Did you use Photoshop or a different editing tool? It is really, really striking and a creative eye you gave those images!

  8. I also have days/times when I don't post...many different reasons. You made a great comeback though, the photo is very interesting. You did a wonderful job with that.

    Wishing you a nice week!

  9. I’m trying to figure out how you did that photo. That is so cool.

I tend to get days when I have lots of different things to post about so I write them and schedule them to go up for several days. Then I collect ideas for the next time I decide to work on posts.

  10. I commend you for sledding upright! The last time I tried that, I fell over and hurt myself. I am strictly a lying down sledder now. Well, I say now. No signs of any snow anywhere close to here...

  11. Most bloggers seem to have times when there is no idea(s) for a post, so like Kay suggested in her comment, I also try ti gather ideas and then type them into a draft post that’s saved in blogger. I also know several bloggers compose several posts at once and then schedule them and I have also done that usually when we would be away. Another way to handle is to take a blog break and announce it in advance. This would give you time to sort through ideas for future posts. The sledding composite was fun to see.
