Up Here

For a light touch after heavy posting and reading yesterday, here's a fun little song about Canada as we head into interminable winter. I hadn't heard this one before. Enjoy.

  2. OK, now I know what makes y'all be the way you are...sort of. Delightful tune and so many facts and factoids! Cheerful. Thanks.

  3. Love it! And, not for the first time, I kinda wish we'd moved to Canada back when we left Florida. Because while I love our home in the mountains, the toxic political atmosphere in the States is depressing.

  5. Haahaha funny ... I was today years old when I learned that William Shatner is Canadian. Thanks for that. Also my sister and her husband (who is French) lived for many years in Quebec, where he was a pastor. Their youngest (of seven) child was born there in 1994. She was born in December and we went up there for Christmas a few weeks later. Now, we lived in the Chicago area for 17 years and have seen some bitter winters. I have NEVER been so cold, to the bone, and so glad to leave a place as I was when we drove away from there. Our children had to keep their coats on and bury themselves under blankets until well into the state of New York. The van heater simply could not heat the inside of that van. I said, I don't know how anyone does it. The snow is beautiful (up to a point) and the northern lights are wonderful, but everything is a trade-off and for me anyway, that would not be enough, hahahaa! You have my sympathies for what's coming at you like a freight train, AC. xoxo

  6. Terrific. Makes me love your country so much more when I see all the nice people you sent us for fame and fortune. I have gotten too old for long winters, but if my loved ones lived there, I would most certainly stay.

  7. Funny as all get out. Love it. Am sending it to the overseas daughter. You are forgiven for five horrible puns - but maybe not the sixth.

  14. Who decided to let out that we keep polar bears as pets?

  15. Waaaaaait a minute...you have a popular blog, and not once you you told us about your pet polar bear and your moose. I strongly protest.
