Thanksgiving Day

After talking it up for two days already, Thanksgiving Day has finally arrived. We had Sha over for the feast yesterday. Sue cooked the turkey and everything but the the creamy mashed potatoes, which Shauna brought. It was fabulously delicious. The kids were at their Dad's, but we will use the leftovers to do the same dinner tonight. They aren't so fussy about this meal anyway.

Canadians have TG at a good time of year when the colour abounds.

But these ↓ are good thoughts, whenever and wherever you celebrate.

Finally, here is Jasper looming and lunging for lunch.

  1. Sure hope that Jasper left some of the feast for the rest of the family.

  3. Happy Thanksgiving. Mr Man says the best part about Thanksgiving dinner is all the left overs for the next meal :)

  10. Happy Thanksgiving! I think you Canadians definitely do it right--perfect time of year and low-key. (which we Americans aren't good at, no matter the holiday)

  11. Looks like fun and relaxed. Much better time of year for this than here in the US where it gets tangled with Christmas shopping, ugh. My family has backed way down, it's more like our usual Tuesday night family dinner only with turkey and it's a potluck, everyone cooks or brings something and all the kids do the kitchen duty afterwards. Youngest son usually takes the kids fishing early in the morning and after the early dinner several of us go out for a walk. No bickering, no arguing, it's pretty good.

  13. Happy Thanksgiving to your whole family! Our (US) TG is all brown, Naren trees and landscape…. or snow.
