In a year when I hadn't expected to be able to photograph any new Remembrance Day images, I saw this tableau while driving past a farm field. It was a completely serendipitous discovery, seen on a random drive.
We must not. I think with Biden as our President the US will become more engaged again with all our allies. I think Trudeau was one of the first to call and congratulate Biden.
Thank you for the remembrance. I truly hope we will one day have a world without war, but until then, we must give those who died in war. I will wear my poppy pin today and touch it often, remembering.
I've never been one to digitally alter photographs preferring them as they are, but I do like your merging of black and white photography with a color layer to pop out certain things for a specific reason.
Beautiful. Have you ever seen the movie "They Shall Not Grow Old"? That was an amazing photographic achievement, retrieving that old film and restoring it with color. Those faces and stories still haunt me 3 years later.
Great photo. My hat is off in thanks to the farmer that created this visual reminder. I hope that many have stopped to photograph & in pausing give thanks for those that served & are serving. =^[..]^=

ReplyDeleteI was able to get in some shots last night, and in fact this afternoon. It's the first time in years that I wasn't present for the national service.
We see more examples of private memorials set up.
