It is a particularly momentous new year for Danica because . . .
. . . she passed her road test and got her driving license.
She was very nervous beforehand, but she sailed through.
Then, on Saturday evening, Danica and JJ popped in for s shorth visit, just because they could. There was another first just after they left us when they were stopped by a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) spot check. Of course, they passed.
Meanwhile . . .
Yay! Great for Danica on all levels! Grown up for sure! Happy New Year, AC.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Danica for passing so easily! And I like that RIDE idea, I wish they did it around here too.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! The life of a driver is so much expanded from that of a "rider" with others! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful! Her life will change.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
It is a big day for her!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Happy new year, AC.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Danica! The first drives with a grownup licence -- freedom!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Danica! And a very Happy New Year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Danica. She looks very pleased. And then MR. BEAN! Love him.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Danica! It is such a rite of passage for teenagers. I remember how happy and then how nervous I was as a parent.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasure to read this hopeful upbeat post. Thank you friend. Congratulations to Danica Aloha!
ReplyDeleteI haven't photographed fireworks since 15 years ago. Nice to see one done delicately
ReplyDeleteOh boy, awesome for Danica, a new worry for her elders! I know she is thrilled, such expanded freedom. Happy New Year from down south, where we actually had some flurries today!
ReplyDeleteGreat for Danica. I can assure you that Grandpa will need a ride one o these days.
ReplyDeleteIs that Mr. Bean at the end looking for snow?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Danica!
I don't look for snow. Sooner or latter it comes.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Danica.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your granddaughter who is mobile now and happy 2024 to all.
ReplyDeleteHurray for Danica! I love the fact that they hopped in the car and came to YOUR house because now they can. I see many visits from them in your future!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Danica. My granddaughter just got her license this year and it totally amazed me. They do grow up.
ReplyDeleteYAY, Danica!
ReplyDeleteBravo to Danica!
ReplyDeleteGood for Danica. Our granddaughter Allissa recently enjoyed the same accomplishment. Her final test consisted of four hours in the car with the instructor and one other student. The students had to drive and park and navigate in a number of different conditions and ways over the two hours they were each at the wheel. And it was a rainy Friday in late fall! But the instructor was excellent and the other student was nice and easy to talk to, and both girls passed handily and received their provisional licenses. Allissa went home, put on her pajamas, and watched White Christmas while holding the family dog, Piper. What a relief to have it done! xoxo
