It seems like just yesterday that I was just cradling this girl while she seemed to be wondering what the heck she had gotten herself into.
But it was 14 years ago, and so it was that last week Danica dropped by to inform us that the grocery store had hired for her first job. That made her happy and us too with some additional feelings thrown into the mix.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of driving Danica to her first shift.
The wheel of time turns relentlessly. Eh?
Congratulations to Danica on her first job. Let's hope that it is all a good & positive experience for her. Reminds me I need to go shopping to gather up a few of those on sale Basil plants!
ReplyDeleteWow, and it's not a little mom and pop store either! Best wishes for all success, and I dare say she's ace it!
ReplyDeleteYes, time marches on, and it seems to fly by when you look at the newbie turned into an adult! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think that is just amazing. I can imagine how she will feel when she gets her first paycheck.
ReplyDelete14 seems young to be working but it is good experience. What did they have her do? bag groceries?
ReplyDeleteWhere does the time go! Congratulations to Danica on the job!
ReplyDeleteGood for her. Yes, time just whizzes by. One grandaughter is having a baby, OMG, that will make me a Great-grandmother. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was inevitable but where have all those years gone is what I can well imagine you and Sue were thinking. A very sweet throwback photo and a current one of a lovely young lady. Good luck to Danica and next comes a driving license, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteGood for her. She’s growing up for sure!
ReplyDeleteYes, turns too fast for me sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have her first job! Congratulations! She is a beautiful young lady.
ReplyDeleteNot only does the wheel of time turn relentless but also very rapidly. I wish Danica success on her first job.
ReplyDeleteOh, you must be chuffed to bits. With even a little something in your eye, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
How they all grow up!
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Danica. You have a great future waiting.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Wonderful pics of a sweet girl! Time moves too quickly! :)
ReplyDeleteRelentlessly. congratulations to Danica.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh! She’s the same age as my granddaughter and she’s already got her first job. Awesome. Time does fly. Danica was a beautiful baby who has blossomed into a beautiful young lady.
ReplyDeleteThat's a milestone, Grampa! Two of my three kids worked in grocery stores.
ReplyDeleteBaby her looks puzzled looking at you.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is beautiful. And good for her for getting a job!!!
