Bullet Dodged

Shauna has been home for a week, isolating while waiting for the C-swab and then the result.

She is careful and so is her partner. Thanks goodness.

G was exposed when a workmate contracted Covid. Said workmate sat near him but behind and facing in the opposite direction. G masks and is careful. His test was negative.

As was Shauna's.

Here's another feelgood. Sue was reminded on FB of this clip from 2008 of Danica communing with her reflection in a painting that Sue made of our cat many years ago.

  1. Thank Goodness indeed for Shauna & G's negative results! A reminder how easily, how quickly.

Such a sweet video, wonderful memories, but I think Danica may just "hate" you for posting.

  2. Glad that the virus skipped your family members again. Loved the video...how sweet to see how a tiny girl just had her own ideas about what was happening!

  3. Oh, gosh AC, could anything be sweeter than that video. I love the way children of that age are so serious while in those learning stages. She's absolutely adorable.

  4. That is a cute video. She is just trying to walk and must be around 1 year old.

  5. Unfortunately, I think for many of us it is just a matter of time before we get Covid. The hope is that when we do get it, hospitals will have room and supplies to give us top notch care and not be overwhelmed. Even if we make it to the vaccine, 95% efficacy is not the same as 95% effective and over the years, our chances of getting it eventually will increase. But it sounds like they both dodges a close bullet this time and hopefully they can continue until the pandemic is under control.

  6. Glad to hear this news! I'm hoping to avoid it entirely, but if I do get it, I hope it's after I have the vaccine, so a milder case. The after effects are what scare me. Now to watch the video of Danica. :)

  7. You can never be too careful these days and glad the results were negative for both. That was certainly a BIG relief for all concerned.
