After a little photographic frustration earlier in the day, we found ourselves feeding the kids supper at their house come late afternoon.
I had forgotten about the stand of trees just outside the back door but across the highway.
With the right lenses, for once, I snapped a few photos. The first is of a good section of the wooded area.
With long lenses on my cameras, I decided to zoom in on smaller spots within that stand. These photos came out of the camera looking very saturated, but that's how they came and were not saturated in post. In fact, I desaturated to some extent to make them look a bit more realistic. I think it was the low angle of the late afternoon sun that lit the trees so much.
Somewhat frustratingly, we still haven't been able to get away for a proper ramble for almost two weeks now. Maybe tomorrow. In the meantime, this little shoot was pretty satisfying.
You have more colour than we do this year, AC. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Small steps.
ReplyDeleteVery satisfying. For the second year in a row we are having very very little of fall colors. And it used to be so beautiful here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stuff. Please don't de-saturate. I love the power of color.
ReplyDeleteI very much love the vibrant colours of autumn. It is still more green and grey here, which is a shame. Hope you get out for your walk soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours!
ReplyDeleteThere are some lovely shots here!
ReplyDeleteOften you find unexpected photo opps just outside the door and nice that you had your long lens equipment handy.
