Oh my, just look at all those fireworks! I heard a few from downtown Black Mountain last night, after I'd gone to bed. Just slight pops in the distance, not enough to keep me awake!
A surprising number of my American born cousins are looking into whether they qualify for Canadian/dual citizenship.(Canadian born parents) That's all I'll say.
We heard one neighbor setting off what they call concussion bombs that make car alarms go off and startle the daylights out of you. However, there was only fireworks in the distance that were set off legally.

This is the only way I truly enjoy fireworks-through beautiful (and quiet!) photos.

I love that clock tower! I like the 3rd and 5th pictures the best. For being out of practice, you did all right!
They are all good, but the second one where the burst is perfectly positioned against the spire is my fave.

Lovely in every way. We had some small independent fireworks on the lake -- not so bad as I expected. Our big ones are due Saturday.
