Yesterday, I remembered a comment from Ed from a month or so ago. I didn't actually remember the exact comment, but I remembered the general idea. It had to do with checking a box to enable Blogger comments on the iPhone or iPad. Why it took a month for it to recirculate in my brain, I cannot say. What I can say is that my brain, or lack of same, operates in mysterious ways.
I did not go back to the comment (perhaps I should), but I did do a search. I found that if you turn on a certain switch that I should be able to comment.
So, I did and it worked.
This morning I got all comfy womfy in my chair, to read your blogs. Would you believe that I can't comment today?
So, I won't even bother to tell you exactly what I did because it ultimately didn't work for me.
I use Chrome as my browser, so I tried the Apple browser (forget its name right now), but it didn't work either.
To say the least, I am miffed.
Why are some things so hard?
Glad I got a comment from you today...whenever you made it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...comes to mind. So sorry you got to waste some time with these blogger conundrums.
ReplyDeleteIncredibly weird. I've never tried to comment from a phone. hmmm. I guess I just live on the laptop!
ReplyDeleteBlogger always has issues. I wait them out usually!
ReplyDeleteWhy are they so hard when they could be simple?
ReplyDeleteBecause of non-user-friendly design.
Frustrating, and relatable. I'm struggling with my bloggers list gadget. One updates as it should and one does not. I can't find anything online to remedy/reconfigure my blog list. I guess I will continue to use Marie Smith's strategy, as noted in the previous comment above. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI am also having some woes with some other blogs & the ability to post a comment. I agree with you, it is most frustrating & makes me a little miffed right along side of you. Technology is not my friend some days.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I found out that I could not comment through a Google Log in either. For more than 3 weeks now. For accounts without anonymous option, I have to give up
ReplyDeleteChrome has just done a big change, and that could account for the new issues. I use Silk browser on my tablet, Chrome on my phone, which won't let me install a different one, no problems at all. I hate Chrome because it would never work on my laptop, wouldn't display, no matter how often I upgraded etc.
ReplyDeleteI think Marie's policy is as good as anything!
And I have little idea of the problem, as I don't use Apple and don't use my phone for much more than phone calls.
ReplyDeleteAnd why are the same things so easy for people 60 years younger than us?
ReplyDeleteSometimes life just seems so hard, not doing anything special, just hanging in there.
ReplyDeleteI go to my blog, click on comments and scroll down to where it says view web version. On the web version I can comment.
ReplyDeleteI do the same, but I use an Android so I wonder if that makes a difference? No troubles commenting from phone or laptop, thankfully.
DeleteA while back, I had an issue with not being able to comment on blogs except as anonymous, and that wasn't for all blogs. The correction had to do with unchecking a tracking box in the Safari browser that i use on all my Apple devices. And, now I no longer have that issue,,,but of course am most likely being tracked.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, AC. We will know that you are reading anyway.
ReplyDeleteIt is a challenge to keep us on our toes!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise we are dead!
I have the hardest time commenting on Wordpress blogs. And if I use my iPad or iPhone, it keeps listing me as Anonymous and won't identify me properly. Arrrghhh....
ReplyDeleteTechnology drives me crazy too.
I'm miffed at technology too! Things work, then they don't.
