Revisiting Monday's Fog

There were two more photos from Monday's foggy morning that I decided to edit a bit later. I converted them both to b&w.

First is the boathouse. It looks a little foreboding to me.

I saw a swan out beyond the dock in the fog. I like minimalism from time to time.

What is your verdict?

Well, I do like the boathouse. The swan, well, it makes me see the spots on my screen...needs cleaning of course! If it were clean...maybe. But boathouse doesn't give me any foreboding feeling at all!

I like the boat house. Looks like a secret reading place to me.

Is that Nessie?!

It looks like something in an Agatha Christie mystery!

Nice work. I remember my first job at Ramsayville school, I'd drive from Manotick to there, often in fall fog.

I'm not normally drawn to black and white, but these are great. The boathouse could be the cover for a Stephen King thriller and the swan is simply lovely.

I really like the boathouse. It does look mysterious.

They are both excellent but I prefer the boathouse picture. Very mysterious looking.

The 2nd shot is my favorite. The true minimalism!

The eerie look of the fog in b&w is quite fascinating. Good idea!

Resounding approval although the boat house looks like it's part of a horror movie. :)

The boathouse pic makes me wonder if the boat that lives there is home, and what stories it has. Uh, verdict you asked for: the swan is a spec too tiny, so it makes me wonder if it's the Loch Ness Monster's baby. Please ask the swan to come closer. Linda in Kansas

Number 2 is a winner for me. Very different. Very clean.

The boathouse for me!

The second for me.

OK the swan, while lovely, is a little too white. The boathouse is positively creepy ... in a very good way. I love it. Atmospheric and pensive. xoxo
