JJ's First Ride

JJ and dad stopped by last weekend. I think this was JJ's first ride on dad's new motorcycle mid-life crisis, and he was pleased to show us.

  1. How long before JJ will be the driver? Time slips by…

  2. Oh that looks speedy just sitting still! But hopefully he's a good safe driver, especially with precious cargo!

  3. Somebody was smart to make sure the kid had a helmet! Linda in Kansas

  4. While the IDEA of riding a motorcycle IS exciting and sounds like a helluva lot of fun…. for me I shy away from the notion…. because I am such a klutz. I drove a moped for about a year way back in the early 80s (helmeted, of course), but even that made me nervous when on the road…. so I sold it.

I admire folks who do ride motorcycles (if helmeted), but could never do it myself.

  5. Riding motorcycles in todays traffic just seems crazy dangerous. That one sounds nice and quiet!

  9. Are helmets mandatory in Canada? They are not in my state, which I will never understand. They can ticket you for not wearing a seatbelt, but motorcyclists do not have to wear helmets.

I've been thinking about it. I've never had time for a midlife crisis. I should plan one.

  11. I think they are scary. Not for me!

  12. The number of noisy motorcycles passing by here (some with blaring radios) do not make me a fan!
It's good to have a responsible driver, though!

  15. My midlife crisis had four wheels. And an eyewatering price tag.
