The Other Park Pics

I did take a few other pics during our park visit with Heather – off the cuff snaps. They worked out well enough.

There was an old guy photographing insects in the tall grass. As I snuck up on him, he even took off his shirt. This is something that old men shouldn't do, but I am glad that he did as it increases the impact. At least I think it does. The photo nerd in me now points out that he is holding the camera wrong. You put your hand under the lens, not on top. Sheesh! lol

You see those flowers off to the right, above? I took a photo a little bit later.

There were any number of pooches that passed by, but I had to squeeze off some shots of the trio of Great Danes.

That's it. Enjoy your weekend.

  1. Oh my those Great Danes are large! Based on their pony size I wonder if a group of Great Dane dogs would be called a herd?

I agree, some folks just shouldn't go shirtless (lol).

  2. Joe Pye Weed is in bloom here as well. Love the photos of the photographer.

  3. Great shots! He looks pretty good for an old guy, but those flowers are my favorites.

  4. @Marie: I should have recognized them as Joe Pye, except they don't look much like the huge, bushy cultivar that I have on the backyard.

  5. So the old guy isn't going to win a beauty contest! And that's good of you to notice his holding his lens wrong...bet you didn't tell him though! Love the one of the Joe Pye flowers without the photographer!

  6. Great shots. The first is my favorite-not just the guy but also the foreground.

  7. I like photos of photographers!
    Those dogs are huge.
That' Joe Pye weed there. I tried some here, but it was not a wet enough spot for them.

  9. Your flower shot is wonderful, the shirtless guy not so much. Something didn't look right about his use of the camera and after reading your post, I realize what it was. :) Those dogs are like mini-horses!

  10. Imagine, three great danes! Like three small horses!

  11. Maybe the old guy doesn't know any more about his fancy camera than I would--LOL!
    Beautiful great danes! :)

  12. Some people just present themselves as a photo opportunity. I won't tell you but I sometimes go shirtless.

  13. Aw gee, AC. He was focusing. I do that upside down too.

  14. I have learned in my life that one should never try to point out to old geezers when they are wrong.

Smile and nod. Just smile and nod.

(or in your case, snap a few pictures.)

I am trying to imagine owning three great danes. That is a lot of yard clean up.
