My recent trawl through my mother's photo album to look for photos where I might resemble Jonathan or vice versa landed me on a page of John's (my) Activities.
I possibly helped to paint this chair, in a very small way I am sure, when we lived with my grandfather (until I was seven).
Playing ball . . . sort of, anyway.
The note said, "Especially Cats."
I find this curious because we didn't have a cat, so I must have shown an interest or fondness whenever I did encounter one.
Why I have been drawn to cats more than dogs, especially when we had a dog for awhile, I don't know.
But I guess it runs in the family. This is my dad . . .
Nice memories! I myself love cats and enjoy reading about their antics.
ReplyDeleteGreat old photos. Your connection to cats was genetic by the look of it. Great photo with that paw strategically placed over the cat’s face!
ReplyDeleteI have just done a bit of catching up this a.m. and looking at your B&W daily pics, which are such fun to see. It is interesting to see the facial features passed down within the family, even if not evident at an earlier age.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun walking through your family photo album. I do see quite a few similar features between you & your Grandson.
ReplyDeleteJust look at your dad as a youth! And the cat! Cold knees I imagine. Lacey still is a queen, even when pretending to be shy. You were cute with all those legs...shows you'd grow up tall!
ReplyDeleteLovely post
ReplyDeleteI love this and you were (are??) so CUTE ... and the cat too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute kid, really enjoyed your old photos, and the cats.
ReplyDeleteI love the old photos! I grew up with dogs but have turned into more of a cat lady.
ReplyDeleteI love when cats tuck a paw over their eyes like that.
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your dad!
ReplyDeleteNice photo album. You came by your cat naturaly.
ReplyDeleteI especially love cats, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I look with attention, I can see the JJ version of the family look. His face may be a different shape from yours as an adult if Shauna's pastiche is correct, but the eyes have it.
ReplyDeleteYou are obviously a cat magnet, Cuppa excepted.
