C-Snippets

I have more saved snippets after recently posting humourous Superfluous Signs. These COVID-related screengrabs are not funny and actually downright sad. They are about the America situation with some Canada comparisons too.

And a somewhat funny one but also not so funny.

I came across some more before going to post. Come on USA, do better. You're embarrassing yourself. (With apologies to all my blogger friends who are not part of the silly crowd. Too bad the whole country tends to get painted with the same brush.)

  1. It is sad that so many available & free vaccines are going to waste in the US of A. when other countries are begging for vaccines to be able to vaccinated their willing populations.

  2. All the vaccine available for people who don’t want it and so much of the world doesn’t have access to the vaccine.

  3. I actually have watched the news for the last 2 nights...nothing was said about other countries wanting more vaccines. First I've heard of it. But I am very sad about the stupid non-vaxed Americans (sorry, US'ans) Still wearing my mask after vaccinated as soon as I could get it in Jan. Would love to kick my neighbor's butts who haven't vaxed yet.

  4. Our country (US) should be ashamed of itself.

  5. I'm glad I live in Canada. I have now had both doses.

  6. Heartbreaking how many of my fellow US citizens cling to their delusions.

  7. Stupid, stupid, STUPID!!! Yeah, not funny. I know one anti vaxxer personally and cannot figure out what to do about it. Family member. Do we still include this person in our family gatherings? We have all had two shots. The latest incredible rumour I just heard at my physio session is that the shot will interfere with fertility in young women. Luckily I have a good answer for that one. 'My daughter, who is an highly respected professor and researcher in biology has encouraged the 18 yr old grandkid to get two shots. If anyone might know if there is any basis for this, it is she.' So take that, rumour spreader. Not the kind of thing you want to have to do in public, but I could not, COULD NOT, let that one pass.

  8. Honestly, I think it is perfectly rational that we Americans are where we are now considering who was at the helm and what his party was spewing forth on a daily basis. I think if any country had someone like him at their helm, they would be in similar shape. Had this happened say in the George Bush or Clinton era, I think you would see something more along the lines of other countries.

  9. Even with many in the GOP urging their constituents to get vaccinated, they are still resistant. They are obviously getting their info from wackadoodles and charlatans. They are also impossible to argue with since nothing they spout is based on fact. I'm ashamed AND terrified to live in this country.

  10. I have a sister who is a nurse. I was gobsmacked to hear her say that the vaccine changes our DNA.

THere is so much misinformation out there, and people are too lazy to do any amount of fact checking.

AC? We are two fully vaccinated adults. Do you think your country would let us in?

  11. The ignorant in the country are a pandemic.

  12. The blind ignorance is frightening! I do not understand it.
The unvaccinated will be paying the biggest price as delta covers the land. What a mess!
