Blue Light Special

After recently posting a photo of townhall and the bridge lights, Sue and I were back there last evening because the bridge was lit in blue to honour Big Sisters and Brothers. As I sit here typing this, I look out my den window and think that I should have gone this morning to catch the light of morning breaking behind townhall, but there are other things on the agenda today. I like the photo as is, however. By the way, there will be  a different display soon, so I'll probably post another photo within in the next week or so.

I hadn't been paying attention, but there was a full moon, and Sue got a few phone pics. I was unprepared to get out my gear, but it was a good rising. I haven't photographed a full moon since sometime last year.

Sue got this on our way home.

Sue had a photo prompt yesterday that resulted in us collaborating on this 5 second exposure of her letting icing sugar fall on a brownie. It's not  great photo, but it is mission accomplished. It did require a few takes and adjusting the lighting to capture this as well as we did.

That is a doily on top of the brownie to try to create a design,
but it took many attempts, and the sugar was piling up.

Of course, she made a composite of the process.

Sue's Bridge Photos: two of me and one of the ripples after a boat went by. I had just my gear away and scrambled to get it out, but, alas, I was late. I was yelling for the boat to come back, but, of course, it didn't hear me.

This is where I took my photo that I posted up top.

I am dying inside over missing this shot.

Certainly, as soon as you take down the equipment, the best shot of all evinces. This is most often seen while trying to take a photo of baby to send to relatives. Yes? Love the blue and yes, the blue ripples are amazing. with kudos to Sue.
We are starting a photo club out here and my sole ambition is to learn how to use my phone as a camera better. Lugging a bag full of lenses and hoisting heavy camera bodies full of big batteries is becoming less and less attractive.
Nice moon capture, too. With reflections, yet.

I love the night shots, especially the full moon.

That last shot is spectacular, but you've caught 'spectacular' before. Hope that brings you some amount of comfort. You also missed a partial lunar eclipse last night. So they say. I wouldn't know, having been tucked up in bed.

Your town is pretty, photogenic. That moon photo is stunning and taken with a phone camera. Wow. You may have missed the shot but Sue got it, so not really missed.

Those ripples of reflected light are pretty amazing.
I love the shots of the sugar falling down. That is a hard one to do!
I used something similar one time to 'create' snow on Lego minifigs to simulate snow. I know how hard and fun it is to do!
That town hall and bridge are so photogenic! I can see capturing it in as many ways as possible.

Oh Mr. AC, you didn't miss the shot. Seems to me there was a duck that went swimming nearby. Much better than a boat, eh? Linda in Kansas

Sue's full moon and the last shot are spectacular indeed! I imagine that there is a lot of FOMO with photography.

All great shots of the bridge. I think it was a harvest moon last night. It was certainly bright.

Great full moon shot!

Who writes those prompts that Sue follows? That was a bit strange request to photo sugar falling. We looked at the moon last night while the eclipse was just starting.
