That Was Not a Party

After a weird night in which almost everything that could happen did happen, I will try my best to compose a post, especially since I missed yesterday. I like to miss on occasion. I makes me feel as though I am the master of the medium and not the slave of it.

Without going into detail, I ranged temperatures from too cold to too darn hot, during and around which I experienced cramps both front and back. The one requires ice while I apply heat to the other. A great time was had by all me no one.

. . .  And I have just decided that rather that try to compose the topic that is on my mind, I will just give up and return at a later time.

Should I live that long.

  1. It was, I recall, Mr Spock who said 'Live long and prosper." You do that, eh.

  2. I had wondered when you didn't post yesterday if there were extenuating circumstances. Hope you're on the mend and have answers as to why it happened.

  3. Did you by chance take a Covid test? I ask only because each time I had an immunization , which makes the body mimic the body’s reaction one would have to the damnable pathogen…. I experienced alternating very hot and very cold feelings and muscle cramps…. So it sounds a bit similar.

  4. I have an excellent bedroom setup. My bed has an electric blanket for those nights I feel cold. When I feel warm, the window is right above my head and opens with an easy to move lever at the bottom so I can cool myself down pretty fast and easy enough to fall right back to sleep. Although occasionally I fall asleep too fast and wake up shivering and have to kick on the electric blanket which if I fall asleep, causes me to wake up sweating. So yeah, perhaps it isn't the best of setups after all.

  6. Funny that, cause I had some of those symptoms yesterday morning...and was damned by having drunk/drank 2 cups of coffee so couldn't go back to sleep. I added clothes, turned the little heater on and off, and stripped various layers around the house. Finally in the afternoon, having really achey fingers, I took the test...which said 0. I talked with a friend and we agreed cold rainy winter days do have to be endured...somehow. Hope you're feeling better (and you didn't mention whether it was raining or not!)

  7. I wonder if it's some random virus, you know, the nameless "it's going around". I hope it goes away, anyway.

  8. It's so frustrating when we want to sleep but our bodies betray us! Hope you have a better day.

  9. Be better soon. There's a soup of things being passed around, Covid, Flu, and RSV. Take care.

  12. If you experience cramps, grab some tonic water. It comes with sugar, or sweetner, or "zero" which tastes horrid. It has quinine in it, and just 4 to 10 ounces a day will stop mine. Linda in Kansas
