Our baby's fiftieth birthday is today! Fifty! I have a fifty-year-old child. How is this possible?
It's a busy time of year, and there were conflicts for today, so we had her and the kids over for a little celebration last evening.
As usual, I made a card. It is hard to know what else to do after making so many cards over the years, so I did this ↓ for the front. It folds, so the front of the card is just the bottom half.
I am pretty sure that I took that picture during her first week home. I thought she looked a bit worried so I worked that into a theme — corny, I guess, but that is what I came up with.
I continued the theme inside — tried my best to make it fit.
I won't overdo the pictures, but we did take some last evening.
Yes, time seems to go by fast as we know with recent birthdays in our family. Sending Happy 🎂 Birthday wishes to your daughter and sure she enjoyed the fun card, as always. Nice family groupings and hope Sue is feeling better day by day as facial healing can be a slow process, speaking from personal experience. Is the ring in the final photo a birthday gift or engagement?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to her! She seems not so worried now.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure Sue didn't get that eye in a dust up with a neighbor? I know she claims she didn't know how it happened, a likely story! I hope she's healing well now.
The ring is a birthday gift along with a necklace and earrings.
ReplyDeleteTime flies.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun seeing them grown up and having achieved and made accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteWell, you must haave done something right! Congrats to all...50 year old and parents and grands!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your young woman! She is a fortunate one indeed!
ReplyDeleteA very happy half century birthday to her! :-)
ReplyDeleteA milestone. I thought in that last photo she was saying 50 with her fingers -5 and the ring -0.
ReplyDeleteTime flies when you are having fun! I'm reaching the same milestone as your daughter in less than a year. I'm not sure what to think about it yet.
ReplyDeleteI have TWO 50s now and another one rapidly approaching. Time sure does fly when you're having fun.
ReplyDeleteHope Sue is feeling better today.
I love the card! Babies do often look apprehensive about the future, Happy Birthday to Shana!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great card that you did. Happy Birthday to the lucky woman.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are both in their 50's . It's really hard to get my head around it. Anyway, happy birthday to the birthday girl.
ReplyDeleteWe all age.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
My older daughter is approaching 40 (well, 37) and that sounds SO old to me. Happy Birthday to your lovely Sha!
ReplyDeleteSending best wishes for a fine birthday and a fine year to come.
ReplyDeleteLovely card! I bet she was thrilled. Happy birthday to her.
ReplyDeleteBelated birthday wishes to your daughter. 50 years on & she is still wrapped in love. Nice birthday gifts. Sue's bruising seems to be improving.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty ring! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! My eldest turned 50 this year too. Indeed how did that happen? Hahaha. Wishing her and you a delightful year.
ReplyDeleteMuch joy to you all.
ReplyDeleteMy older son also turned 50 this year. For his birthday, I gave him a professional portrait from his 25th birthday party which was celebrated at the same dinner party as his grandfather's 75th and his dad's 50th. Interesting guests, quality speeches, wonderful music and food, and thankfully memorable photos.
