For the second consecutive year, with hopefully many more years to come, the pride flag has been raised at town hall. I do wish the Canadian flag in the high background was more visible, but it is what it is. For a few brief minutes those in attendance stopped traffic, but most drivers were good about it.
Born this way and love in our hearts.
Sue came wrapped in and bearing the flag.
This gave her the opportunity to hobnob with event organizers.
And to pose for pictures with friends afterwards.
Heather, with her flag, took a moment to gaze upon our lovely river.
Sue and Heather even walked on the rainbow carpet (on the previous day).
The actual festival will occur next weekend.
Excellent!
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad to hear about this!
ReplyDeleteI like those Romanesque arches and the flags. That's a keeper of a shot. :) Sue looks good too...she is a keeper also. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Born this Way flag.
ReplyDeleteThe Pride Flag is the most beautiful of all.
ReplyDeleteA good thing to do. I like the contrast between the flags and the architecture.
ReplyDeleteLovely display!
ReplyDeleteMy church had a booth at the first ever Pride Fair here in my county. It was well attended. I missed it being in Buffalo helping daughter move.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures -- wonderful event. So much to be proud of!
ReplyDeleteI love the socks of one of the organisers. They are perfect!
ReplyDeleteJust another reason why I love Canada. You show unity and love while we in the United States are bombarded with hatred and racism and where does it come from ... the very top. If he wins in 2020 I'm heading your way.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff! All good except the benighted Anglican church bishops.
ReplyDeleteThat is so joyous, isn't it? We can celebrate our humanity.
