That Old Dodge Truck

The weather is pretty nice here now, or at least it very nice sometimes. But after having photo ops reduced over the long winter, I find myself missing the opportunity to get out with the camera as my body heals.

I have already shown the following photo that I took on an outing two days before surgery.

I took a couple of other photos of the same truck and decided to process them in mono. I did a slight sepia tone on the next shot to keep more consistent with the era, but I didn't go as far as making the photo look authentically old.

I also converted the next and final photo centering on the hood ornament. I used a grittier approach to this closer photo and played with the tones quite a lot.

Nice photos and truck. Is the Dodge yours? The only thing I'd change if it were mine is the split-rim wheels.

I love the softness in the first photo. Goes with the age of the truck somehow.

Your sepia take particularly stands out.

I like all of these shots. Maybe especially the last one which is a nice detail of the Dodge Ram hood ornament. They don't make them like they used to!

If that Dodge were 1938, the ram's horns would not have been molded to the body. My uncle caught his trousers on the tip of the horn and ripped them. My uncle went into the shop, returned with a hacksaw, and removed the horns. My dad was not pleased.

That last is a charmer.

Terrific pictures -- te first is my favorite -- such soft glowing colors.

I'm happy to read you are healing. Good for you. Hubby liked my B & W, you inspired me!

I really like that last photo. Nice texture to it. Who owns that truck? Does it ever get out on the road?

Good news on your recovery. I'm. planning on having a fake knee implantation in July when my daughter in law can help me and watch out for Mrs. T....
