Polka Dot Cube

I was going to call this post cubism, at yet another poor attempt at humour, but I didn't want poor folks who were genuinely looking up the art form to have to contend with my depravity. Or me with them in point of fact.

I have done one more polka dot macro since I last posted, which is directly below, but it is not really the main point of this post.

I don't dislike the photo, but there's nothing unique about this. I had been attempting to get some water droplets hanging off the edge, but it wasn't working for me.

Then, I came across instructions for making a cube in Photoshop. I think I messed the perspective a little on the left, but it is what it is. I enjoyed the attempt and may try some more because it isn't that hard. Wasn't there a line in an old song or saying, "I can do anything if I have the right tools"? Well, as with focus stacking, Photoshop made a pretty good tool as long as I have a little instruction too.

Fascinating stuff AC. I caught up with some of your older blog entries and especially loved the macro photos … and, of course I could relate to the one about reading. I have to admit that 24 books a year is nothing for me … reading is like breathing to me.
