It's Thataway ===>>

Two Monday photos that you've seen before in different form. The first was rotated on its side; the second was converted to b&w and stands out better this way.

We had a light snowfall overnight but too light for the driveway contractor to come. It's got to be about 2 inches for them to bother. We'll go push it around later this morning. It's light, so it won't be difficult.

Sha and JJ were hit pretty hard by the latest virus. After about a week, with much time off from work for Sha and school for JJ, I think they are just about back to normal. Somehow, Danica escaped, and we did too by avoiding contact and cancelling our planned family dinner last week.

  4. Just about a week ago, while eating in a diner, I heard two patrons discussing one of their properties that were full of "Indian pointer trees" showing the direction to water. He exclaimed that he could fill a museum up with artifacts by just plowing the property. I wanted to ask him how old the tree was since any "Indian pointer tree" would be 200 years old at this point but held my tongue.

  5. I think my lifestyle of living alone with only occasional indoor social contact has served me well. I get few viruses. Not none, though. Handsome Son works in a public setting and probably carries them when he visits.

  6. I like what you've done with the photos. It's good you escaped catching the virus and also good that Sha and JJ are recovering. We got a couple of inches of snow. Not enough to plow.

    1. We still like to clear the driveway, so the next layer doesn't harden on top of the first layer.

  7. Interesting effects of that textured tree. Glad you didn't catch what your loved ones had, and hope they are returned to health now. I declined going into a home to have chats with a woman who admitted she was "under the weather." I avoid as much as possible getting into environments with folks who are suffering. It's become a self-preserving move.

  8. I like thst you go back to your photos and try different approaches.
    I miraculously avoided that terrible virus Larry had last fall. It was just after my knee surgery and I really vould not afford to be sick. I'm afraid I avoided him like he had the plague, wofe a mask, and sanitized every single thing he touched. I felt bad about not raking care of him, but taking care of me was all I could manage at the time.

  9. There's a lot of different ailments going around. Friends were to join us for a concert then Chinese dinner after but he was hit Saturday with intestinal bug. We are healthy and hoping to stay that way while we visit family in Buffalo later this week.

  16. We love time with the family but always worry about the cold/flu viruses they may have been exposed to. We worry about it but spend the time together anyway unless we know they are sick.

  19. Norovirus is rampant in our area, that stuff hangs around on surfaces for a very long time. Nasty.
    On another note, the photos are delicious in texture and curiosity.
