In His Buppa's Footsteps Trod JJ

Do you see what Jonathan did?

Yup. He made this hockey card from a photo that I had done. This one ↓

Pretty smart, and he did it all from his phone. He explains:
I added the picture and the logo with an app called picsart. I added the name with another app called phon.to and I got the overlay online.
He's 12, which is probably three years younger than me when I learned to tie my shoes. 😁😎

Back when he was just beginning hockey, I did do a card in Photoshop. Ain't he cute?

An 8x10 of that still hangs on my wall, or at least on my cupboard door. As does this collage, which I quite like.

I photographed a game last night, so I may bore you with another hockey pic post tomorrow. But for today, I wanted to showoff JJ's excellent work. My stuff was just filler.

  2. Well done JJ - of course it is amazing how the kids of today just take technology in their stride or should I say in their finger tips. I like your versions of the hockey cards & collage.

  3. Not surprising that JJ could whip that out. I think this generation is born with the talent to do it.

Why the different names on the cards?

  4. Quite a good photo talent you've passed along to JJ. And the ability to merge different apps on phones is way beyond me too! His friend Sam should appreciate the card. Sure, more hockey photos are welcome!

  5. The technology does make it all so much easier...if you can figure out the apps.

  7. Those are wonderful! I LOVE hockey. I HATE football. (Grew up in Oklahoma where they are all football freaks.) OKC had a minor hockey team that was fun; fed into the Boston Bruins at the time. I saw a friend's kid play hockey locally once, here in KC. What was fun to watch was the younger ones, about 4-5 years old. You simply bundled them up in their gear, so they couldn't move, pick them up over the rail and set them on the ice, then pushed them. They stayed stiff upright, until they tried to do something, then fell over.
Tickets are so expensive for decent seats now for KC's minor team. Have fun!

  11. JJ is very clever but so is his grandpa who put the love of "doodling with photos" into his (JJ's) adorable head.
(poorly written but I think you get the meaning AC)
