An Autocorrect

As we were heading out the door to pickup our groceries on Tuesday, Shauna texted this message.

Well that was a little alarming, but thank goodness she followed it up very promptly.

What an incredible Autocorrect!

We did get Dani from school. By afternoon, she was recovered sufficiently to make it to her job.

In case anyone is still worried, here is Danica looking very happy, in a very recent picture.

As I have written, she is learning to drive, and that pleases her. But she was extra chuffed in the picture because she was driving what she calls her own car. It's an inheritance, if you will, from her recently deceased paternal grandmother.

  1. That's not the kind of autocorrect you want to see.

I am fond of the expression, "dear autocorrect: it is never duck."

  5. Well, THAT would be a startling autocorrect. Once I sent in a text to a friend, which divulged a 'secret' which she thought was hilarious. I sent another text that said, "Don't rat me out, sistah!" I received an OMG!!!! followed by a slew of hysterical emojis. Autocorrect had changed that to "Don't eat me out, sistah." I thought that I'd mistyped and so I corrected it to send it again. Just before I sent it, I noticed AC had been at work once more. It was followed with "Rat! That was supposed to be RAT!!!! Damn AC!!!!"

  7. What a terrible autocorrect! I'm glad that she soon recovered from being sick. What a lovely gift from her late grandmother! Hope you're feeling good, John.

Your girl looks lovely, as usual!

  9. I wish I could say I've never had autocorrect change the entire meaning of something I've written.

  12. Oh my, her first car! What a joy that must be for her. I remember it well -- the freedom and convenience of it.

Auto correct ... your hearts must've stopped for a moment there. Sheesh.

  14. That was pretty weird to see, and it should be outlawed if it does things like that. Did make me laugh when I realized it was just autocorrect going crazy. :-)

  16. Make sure she gets a wheel lock stick for the car. Kias and Hyndais are being stolen all over the country. Insurance rates went up and some companies won't insure them. 29 stolen this year just in my KC suburb. If it's stolen she'll be sick for a while longer. Linda in Kansas
