One Meeting On, One Meeting Cancelled

We have a newish photo group in town, begun by the lady in black (middle right).

Notice how heads and bodies get smaller to the back. Bob and I (particularly Bob) are the biggest folk present, but we look a little shrimpish here. You may also recognize the lovely Susanne (middle left).

We gabbed for about an hour and a half, but when we broke up around 8:30, we discovered that the latest round of weather had arrived. It was that miserable freezing rain, but it was still in the early stages, so fluid and wipers took care of the windshield rather than having to scrape the ice. Thank heaven for small mercies.

This morning, I looked out the window and managed to catch our snow guy. He had done our drive and others and was about to leave the neighbourhood.

Our neighbour was also out with his blower.

Sue has cancelled coffee with her friends this morning. We could still travel today if were necessary, but it isn't, so home we shall stay — for the morning at least.

In this matter, we are taking instructions from Lacey.

Lacey has it right! I learn a lot from Lizzie and I can see you do the same!

We got a little snow (and some ice) last night. Enough to close schools although frankly, I think that's a little over the top. In my day....!

I was thinking about that. I don't remember a single snow day when I was in elementary school, or maybe even junior high. And only one in high school. And we got a lot of snow back then, more than now. Times change.

Gotta love two point perspective!

I like your neighborhood. But I am glad I don't have to deal with your cold and snow. Our rainy weather is bad enough.

Great to have a meeting of shrinking heads at the back of the group. Darn those camera lens' anyway!

Cats have a great attitude about relaxation, as in do as much of it as possible! That looks like a lovely group. I hate being in front in a photo because it does make those people look huge.

We got a sprinkle of snow & some rain last evening but I drove from downtown up the hill to St Clair Ave & Bathurst St and there was suddenly ice on the trees. It really showed the microclimates that occur with a smallish change in altitude.

Lacey has the right idea for sure!

After my post yesterday showing our daffodils, this morning temps dropped and by noon we had a bit of blowing snow. Ah, well!

It looks like it will be a fun group. I look forward to hearing about the gatherings, and Lacy sure does know how to party! :-)

I have nowhere to be before next Friday (a week). I will appreciate you keeping all that nasty stuff north of the border, Keep warm; pet the cat.

Lacey has it right: when in doubt, take a nap.

We hunkered down. Drivers were really impatient when I went on a beer run in the afternoon.

This post has finally shown up in my feed, Sunday morning. Nice to see your photo group. You do seem to be getting the winter that missed us. Ice? Snow! What's that?
