Caturday 47: Lacey Likes Lickin

There was a time when we had to put plastic over our windows in winter because they were poor and leaky. But a few years ago, we upgraded them, and that winter-condensation things became a thing no more.

Much to Lacey's delight, however, we do get a bit of that on extremely cold days — those days when the temperature drops well below freezing, like maybe -30C/-22F. It becomes a treat for her to lick that moisture, for variety is the spice of life.

Here she is on her podium at my den window.

That is all. As you were. Enjoy your weekend.

What a perfect perch for Lacey, surveying her domain!

It must be the cold on her tongue that she enjoys.

Sweet! She's sure a cutie, even with that habit of hers. :-)

Amazing what cats like to do! Go Lacey.

Oh I do wonder what flavor it might have, like a slurpy; cherry, blueberry (which did leave one's tongue blue) or ??

Cats are such strange creatures. I always feel they are in a parallel universe that allows them to intersect with our own. Thus, some of the odd things they do have a perfect logic in their world.

We had a cat that did that. We were in Muskoka, and it was frigid. Her tongue stuck, and she couldn't eat. So sad. and vet $$$!

Cats enjoy the strangest things, but they probably think the same about us. That is COLD!

Laughing. Cats and windows.

Cats are profoundly unexplainable at times! 🙂 Our cat has a variety of “eccentricities” as well.

I remember putting plastic over the windows, back when we lived in an old house and the winters were colder. Honestly, I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore.

There's no explaining cats. Don't try. They are creatures of mystery. Our creature of mystery has come out of hiding and has begun to come when called.
