Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day is here. It may not be quite as huge of an event as it is down south, but it is a very fine and appreciated event, timed to occur when autumn is just about at its peak and when the weather is still usually moderate.

We'll head over to the kids' this afternoon to feast on turkey and pie and more, but for now I leave you with a few more autumn photos from the Wheeler's sugar bush.

Happy Thanksgiving! These autumn shots are breaking my heart, as I can't go to the higher elevations this year on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's closed till spring probably. So I await the lower later color change, though with high winds today, maybe no leaves will be left to turn. Goodness, there I let my mouth go again!

It must be thrilling to be in the midst of all that orange and yellow. Wish we had that in Hawaii. Happy Thanksgiving!

I'll settle for knowing you're okay and online, Barbara! I was very worried.

Enjoy your special meal. Your woods are all yellow. We have yellow, orange, gold, bronze and reds here. I've given up trying to capture it on the iPhone. It does a funny thing when I take a photo. It shows it as it looks then as I'm looking at the photo adjusts it so the colors aren't as bright. Can't figure out why. Does Sue have that trouble?
