Thanksgiving Day is here. It may not be quite as huge of an event as it is down south, but it is a very fine and appreciated event, timed to occur when autumn is just about at its peak and when the weather is still usually moderate.
We'll head over to the kids' this afternoon to feast on turkey and pie and more, but for now I leave you with a few more autumn photos from the Wheeler's sugar bush.
Happy Thanksgiving, AC.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! These autumn shots are breaking my heart, as I can't go to the higher elevations this year on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's closed till spring probably. So I await the lower later color change, though with high winds today, maybe no leaves will be left to turn. Goodness, there I let my mouth go again!
ReplyDeleteI'll settle for knowing you're okay and online, Barbara! I was very worried.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving, AC.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are stunning. Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy the feast!
ReplyDeleteIt must be thrilling to be in the midst of all that orange and yellow. Wish we had that in Hawaii. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!! Enjoy your day and thank you for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day! It's a little cool and overcast, but OK.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! I'm just glad the tourists are going home...
ReplyDeleteLove, love the fence shot. Classy and a classic. Happy turkey day. We cooked and feasted yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Thanks for sharing the lovely autumn photos.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your special meal. Your woods are all yellow. We have yellow, orange, gold, bronze and reds here. I've given up trying to capture it on the iPhone. It does a funny thing when I take a photo. It shows it as it looks then as I'm looking at the photo adjusts it so the colors aren't as bright. Can't figure out why. Does Sue have that trouble?
ReplyDeleteThe last capture is the best. Looks fabulous
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving. Lovely trees.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! I imagine you are full of turkey and pie by now.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in these photos are breathtaking. Not sure which I like best!

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteMore great photos, and Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving (belatedly) to you and your family, AC. The fall colors are spectacular and we haven't ventured out to see if any remain in our nearby park. The past couple of days have been rainy and windy, so we may have missed peak this year due to our travels abroad (sigh).
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! What gorgeous photos! They look like paintings.
ReplyDeleteThat last one is sheer perfection! They're all gorgeous. xoxo
