Sue was also impressed with the orange leaves.
Even our shadows from the bridge landed in orange, but that colouring required a little help from your beloved photo editor to bring out the desired colour. 😉
This delightful car was waiting beside ours when we were done walking. What a delight: a vintage VW Beetle! There was a sticker indicating that it had been connected with a tour of Brasil.
I tried changing the colour to orange, but it seemed a tad sacrilegious to interfere with this little beauty. 😇
The sun really makes the colours glow. Love the old bug.
ReplyDeleteSuch deep oranges! The car reminds me of the one when I was first married. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think I’ve ever been in a Beetle.
DeleteOn a family visit to Ontario we tootled about in a red VW like this one.
ReplyDeleteThe white interior was also immaculate.
DeleteIt's like riding in an airtight tin can.
ReplyDeleteI envy people/places with deciduous trees this time of year, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a short but appreciated season. Too soon we’ll be settling in for the winter.
DeleteNice oranges, but that red Bug is astounding! I had 1 and a Super Bug and a VW bus. Never seen a bug with the luggage rack on the back. Wouldn't want to block those air intake slots. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteIt looked newer than new. Very impressive.
DeleteI haven't seen a Bug in a long time! Orange is my favorite autumn color--so bright and luminous.
ReplyDeleteI prefer it to yellow. Every now and then we see red.
DeleteI had a Beetle in the early 70s! Not only do the colors shine, so does Sue.
ReplyDeleteYes to both.
DeleteOrange is a great fall color, just ask any pumpkin! Or maybe Jack-o-lantern ! I rode with a friend in the 80's in her old VW bug, but the floor on my side was rusted out, so I could see the road going by as we traveled. Never had much faith in them actually. But a trip in a VW camper van was kind of fun.
ReplyDeleteThe camper sounds like fun The rusted floor, not so much.
DeleteI had a Beetle where the floor rusted out. Ah, but I loved it. I am giggling a bit because our camera group has 'orange' for one of our assignments this month. I think, though, that I am going with pumpkins. A good excuse to make Jack-o-Lanterns.
ReplyDeleteDid all old Beetles have rusted floors?
DeleteThe car is in deed a beauty
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of shadows on the water! Original and creative!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is indeed a beautiful 1967 VW Beetle!!!!! I was really into Beetles for about 30 years, and memorized the minutia differences year-to-year, so I can recognize each year fairly easily! Makes me wish for my old 1965 I fixed up. So cool!
ReplyDeletePipeTobacco
The differences must have been minor.
DeleteAt this time of year we'll take any color. Most of the leaves have dropped here.
ReplyDeleteWe generally have until just about November. Don’t like November. It’s so bleak. It’s actually better when the snow comes, usually in December.
DeleteJust gorgeous! Love all the orange shades.
ReplyDeleteMe too
DeleteAll my Beetles were green.
ReplyDeleteAll? How many?
DeleteI have gone back to see an answer but it depends on the original comment.
ReplyDeleteP.S. my husband’s first car was a beetle…clementine in colour…orange really!
The colour of marmalade and just as lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these beautiful photos! I really appreciate them AND old VWs!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of the foliage are lovely, but that bug! <3 swoon! My first car was a 1966 candy apple red ragtop beetle, and looked SO MUCH like this one, though mine was not so pristine by a long shot. Gosh I loved that car.
ReplyDeleteFall color seems reluctant to shine out this year! It's the same here but we are coming along bit by bit. I'm glad you didn't change the little car's color to orange. I like reality, hahaha xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love the VW. We ahd one when I was a kid. We'd sit in the back wheel well.
ReplyDeleteOranges and red Beetle are good colors for fall, even if one is not nature.
ReplyDeleteThat looks almost like a toy car. Art had a white Volkswagen when I first met him. We had that "bug" for a long time before we had to sell it to get a station wagon.
