Caturday 59: She Wafts, I Snuffle

I wasn't going to bother posting today, but I found this on fb this morning.

It's very true for me and has been for awhile — at night anyway.

It's just as well that my bladder wakes me up every now and then, so I can switch to the other side and use that nostril for awhile as the stuff drains to the lower side.

The thing that isn't true is middle age. I didn't happen to me then. For me, it's definitely an old age phenomenon.

But I must add that I mostly blame the cat who fills my house with her fur.

I've been tested, and I have but one allergy. You guessed it. Cats. It's not a strong allergy as such, but it is present, especially with a cat that wafts fur.

She might look innocent while sleeping in the patch of sunlight, but we know that is not the case.

She looks so sweet and carefree. The life of a cat!

My son-in-law is also allergic to cats and their cat Ziggy is extremely hairy. Mari isn't so bad. He takes some kind of allergy pill when he needs to.

Oh the joys of life with a pet. How boring life would be without them though.

Con los años todos los órganos reciben alguna pequeña o gran alteración. Yo suelo notarlo especialmente por las noches como tu.
El gato es una maravilla. Mis hijas tienes cada uno y a mi me vuelve loco acariciarlos y jugar con ello.

Look at her sleeping so soundly. Serenely shedding on your bed. Little darling.

I have a son who's allergic to cats, and he takes some allergy pills when visiting someone with cats in the home. I no longer have any, but my allergies are always giving me something to cough about.

My nose always runs. I've been tested for common allergies though and nothing showed up.

I have a mild allergy to cats, but if I'm around them for awhile, it seems to go away.

Ugh, I know of which you write! I've been tested and found to be allergic to pine. As you know, I lived in the woods of the Ottawa Valley!
With some upcoming construction work looming, we have been tasked with moving two mammoth book cases. This necessitates pulling a LOT of books that haven't been touched in about twenty years. Ohhhhh, the DUST! (How long should one keep university textbooks anyway??) I fear our lungs have suffered permanent damage.

That first quote has been the story of my life for a couple of decades. Very frustrating!

Oh, that's such a shame for you. I'm sorry.
... and tell me, who crocheted this great blanket?

They look so innocent. Don't believe it for a minute! Have you tried allergy pills or periodic shots?

Awwwww sweet kitty! So far in my life I have neither had, suffered from, nor developed even one single allergy. Not peanuts, not pollen, not shellfish, not cat hair, not anything. I wonder if that will ever change (because it certainly can, at any time) but for now I'll enjoy it. xoxo

I'm not usually around cats but I don't think I'm allergic to them. I think. Aging is sure not for sissies. I get up every night too and then have a hard time getting back to sleep. Sigh...
