With all of that wind earlier this week, there was much concomitant drifting. Look at that drift on the garage roof across the street.
It made for some interesting shapes on our roof, however, as I peered out my den window.
Snow usually drifts in by our front door. Sue grabbed a photo of me shovelling the short walk to the front door. We shovel the walk and a patch in front of the garage but leave the rest for the plow.
A bonus that has nothing to do with drifting but taken on their snow day with us: Danica taking a selfie on the snow day at our house. She takes a lot of selfies. I found this one was on grandma's phone.
She is such a lovely and happy looking child. You are blessed. That drifting photo is nice and love the patterns. We do not usually get that type of wind-driven snow here, but I got a lot in Colorado.
ReplyDeleteThe child is slowly disappearing and the teenager coming out. How fun to see it happening.
ReplyDeleteI love the snowdrift photo, it looks a bit like a desert scape, but with snow instead of sand.
Wow!
ReplyDeleteI was looking at a snowdrift earlier in the week in the late afternoon sunlight, and it's surprising by how different it looks at that time of day as opposed to earlier.
The drift on the roof is lovely.
ReplyDeleteSnow sculpture!
ReplyDeleteYes, that snow is lovely. Yes, both the granddaughter and grandfather look great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow drifts! And granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteCute pic! Of Danica. We need a "like" button under each photo. Ok, ok, your pic is nice too. But not as cute as your granddaughter. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love the drifting snow pics; they make such pretty patterns.
Goodness gracious! That’s a WHOLE lot of snow. Wow! I haven’t had to shovel snow in 10 years now. I don’t think I could handle it anymore. I’ve gotten too weak and spoiled here in Hawaii. Still... I really do miss the beauty of winter. Danica is adorable. My granddaughter takes a lot of selfies too.
ReplyDeleteGood work, shoveling.
ReplyDeleteI'm done for the day.
Danica is such a cutie!
