Caturday 72: Sabine Skirts Around Christmas

I see a cat. I see a tree skirt. I do not see a tree.

For whatever reason, Sabine is attracted to this tree skirt, and this is where the family found her and the skirt one recent morning — in the middle of the floor, quite removed from the tree.

My mother made the skirt, I guess at least thirty years ago and probably forty because she's been gone more than twenty years.

I am not sure she would be pleased.

But I am.

And so is Sabine, I think.

  4. Yes? She moved it from under the tree? Very tidily, if so. Could you loan her out at undecorating time?

  6. Hmmm, maybe she's wondering where the tree is so she can climb into it? Linda in Kansas

  11. We had a very shy cat visiting for Christmas one year. She spent most of her time in behind the tree, on the skirt.
That tree skirt is lovely. Wouldn't mind a closer look?

  18. That's a beautiful tree skirt. Mine isn't that pretty but it belonged to my late mother-in-law and for that reason, I use it every year.
