The Little Fella

I was reading through old blogs last night — years old. There was a time when I wrote at length and often. I am very glad that I did. Maybe I said all that I had to say back then. Maybe there is no more. These days, with rare exceptions all I do drop a few photos. But they are memories too, I guess.

Speaking of photos and memories, we continue to care for JJ three days a week when sister is off to school. He seems to be becoming my little shadow. Just today, I was ready a little early for Danica's bus, so I just walked up the street on my own. When I turned around, the little fella was running after me for all he was worth.

His napping days are past, but he is required to rest on the bed for about an hour after lunch. He can play and jabber all that he wants, but we enjoy our respite, and we sometimes do nap.Yesterday, he did fall asleep with the toys that I had bought him that morning in his hands. I wasn't going to buy the cars and had him put them back, but then thought, "Why the heck not?"

He also showed up with Hulk Hands on Monday and he was wearing them while waiting for Danica after school. I told him to look tough. He tried, but you can see him not being quite able to suppress a smirk.

The supressed smirk very quickly became a full fledged smile of joy.

I think that if I was the only person who ever read my blogposts, it would still be worth it to me because it's the stories that I remember, and the photos and videos that can surprise me with their meaning. We should write as much or as little as we need to. I do envy you your phototaking ability though

Blogs are for sharing, but also for keeping memories it seems. You are so fortunate to be able to spend as much time as you and Sue do with these kids and they will remember the special times as well...even the seemingly not so special events.

Love those Hulk hands, they're nearly bigger than his head!

I wasn't aware Hulk hands were available. With a cute smile like his, those hands aren't too scary, are they?

Pictures are worth a lot of words so they are a good substitution for lengthy written posts. Sleeping children are so adorable.
