The heat wave from Hades continues unabated. I don't know what the feels like temperature really hit yesterday, but the forecast was for 44°C or 111°F. This is Canada, not Georgia, and that's just nuts.
So, we hardly poke our heads out except to give the flowers a drink and refill the bird bath. Meanwhile, we are watching a lot of Dalziel and Pascoe on Britbox, and we may be doing so for most of the week. Ugh! I am used to being trapped indoors during winter, but this is almost unprecedented.
We may go to our seniors falls prevention class this morning as this is the penultimate session before the long summer break. Besides, once we get in there it is air conditioned, so it shouldn't be too bad.
As you might expect, I've done a little more with the fireworks photos. I've done two composites, each or three photos. The first is no great shakes, but I am pleased with the second.
These next two, and final two for this post, may also look like composites but they of multiple bursts during the grand finale.
And that will do for now.
The second is my favourite. Great job.
ReplyDeleteStay cool AC. The initials have it.
last time I took fireworks photos it was on a boat...so very difficult to get anything woorth postng. I just used a pre-setting on my camera which did work somewhat. Here humid and in the 90s, but that is somewhat normal for July.
ReplyDeletesorry for your heat wave. Ours hits southern California Friday and Saturday. Finally.
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing photographer. She said, for the million'th time. :)
We are also having a heat wave in NH. Thankfully we are used to some of this summer weather from our years ov living in VA, but that's not to say we enjoy it! Enjoyed the fireworks in this and the previous post. I didn't venture out to capture any here in Nashua, so glad to see you lovely images, John.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to tell you that it's glorious here. Supposed to go downhill by the weekend and we will be in hades with you.
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize with you concerning the heat. It's been in the mid to upper 90sF here in North Central Indiana for the past several days. Luckily, I have AC and am revelling in it. My brother and his wife are visiting for 2 weeks, and they think our humidity and temps are wonderful after leaving 100+ dry heat in Texas. I personally think they are nuts!!! I hate the heat, cannot take off enough clothes to be cool and decent at the same time! L! So I sort of vacillate from my screened veranda to the living room and back off and on all day. But just think, John, 4+ months from now and we could be shovelling that white cold stuff! Perish the thought!! Stay cool and hydrated!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. It's bad for your health to be out there working in it. I'm just glad to be indoors. It's not bad on the back deck in the breeze, but I haven't felt like doing anything.
