Perhaps It Is

I am a terrible typist (keyboardist?). While I don’t exactly keep track of my mistakes, one recurring one that I have noticed recently is monirng when I mean monring oops, I mean morning. (I couldn’t type morning correctly even when I was paying attention. I assure you that it was unintentional.)

The trouble is that spellcheck doesn’t know what to do with monirng so I have to sort it out myself. Life is hard. lol

Speaking of hard, do you know what I had to do to type lol and not Lol, above? Well, I had to type lol before adding the period, and then go back add the period afterward because the tablet otherwise capitalizes the first letter after a period. To repeat: life is hard. Lol. (Oops I typed that lol after the period. Lol — oops again.)

Why am I obsessed with morning this moring (see, I mistyped it again , and not on purpose, I tell ya)? It’s because I was writing good morning to several bloggers early on Monday after I got up at 3:20 (old time) for the posts fly up up from everyone on a Monday morning. Don’t worry, you’re not in a time warp. I just know that I have several posts already scheduled ahead of time, so you won’t see this one until Thursday.

Another frequent typo is from or form. It seems that whichever of those two words I type, I will reverse the o and r. When i want from, I seem to type form and vise versa.  (Now, why won’t spellcheck automatically capitalize a single i? When is a naked i not supposed to be capitalized?)

I make many many typos, but morning and from/form are frequent ones that I have noticed. Sometimes, when I go back and reread comments that I make on other people’s blog, I cringe at the typos that I have made and then missed. It makes it look as though dementia is setting in . . . . and perhaps it is.

Nah. Not senescence. Habits. You could maybe lose the monring by finding a typing exercise that works on it. The 'form' - 'from' is worse because a spelling checker will not find it.
I hit the comma when I intend to hit the space bar. Or the 'm'. THAT is an aging problem ... the tendon in my thumb is numb, or maybe dumb.
I did correct those photos for snow conditions, but they just didn't meet what I wanted them to show, sadly.

I’m at it too. There is a part of me wants to turn off the spell check but another part thinks I am developing senility to even think of doing it.

Nope. Not dementia. Our thoughts flow so fast and furious that our fingers struggle to keep up with them. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My typos are a combination of spellbully and a tiny keyboard where I routinely hit two letters and it's a toss up which wins. G for h and s for a drive me mad.

My problem is a capital letter following a letter that should be capitalized.

I can't use a tablet and "type" anything that makes sense. Between the lack of tactile feel and the autocorrect words above the keyboard, everything ends up a mess. But give me a regulation computer keyboard and I can type very fast and accurately. I suppose that is why I use my desktop computer to do my blogging.

I think before keyboards wwere invented (with the very weird querty fenichy layout as my son used to call it) letters wouldn't have been left for a century in this configuration. If you had invented it, it would have definitely favored your letters most used. I however, never make typos. And now that you believe that, would you be interested in some swamp land in Florida?

@Marcia: Yes that one too.

It happens frequently on my tablet. It's the crappy "keyboard". Keep that in mind, LOL

I'm the same way with reversing some letters. I think the brain is working too hard.

I type teh every single time I mean to type the. Do you know how often a blogger types the word the in a day? Why can't I fix this keyboarding error?!

i finally did turn my spell check off. I'm good with it so far. I just edit my stuff before I send it.

I have similar repeat errors. Like tbe instead of the. And did you know there is just a slight finger movement to type oink instead of pink?

I'm not a good keyboarder and I blame everything on that!

I'm a pretty fast typist. JB cannot spell for beans.
I find I am making some similar mistakes. A boyfriend, actually a fiance, but that didn't work out, used to call it Jennlexia!

The one thing I can never type is especially! I always do an 'ex' first!

Maybe tomorrow monring will be better.

There are a few I always make too, including (unfortunately) my own name more often that I wish. I think our brains just go so fast (which is a good thing) stuff gets scrambled. You're not alone.

I make all kinds o typos but it really bothers me when I see them in comments I make.

I can't even keep track of it any more. Auto correct and finishing sentences for me screw it all up. Plus, my keyboard sticks now. I go back and correct. I hCW three errors to fix. Woops, now four. I'll leave the last.

Spellcheck drives me crazy sometimes. There are some words that I just can't ever remember how to spell.
Ophthalmologists (Oh wow! I did it!) I usually can't.
Epidemeologist (Oh darn! Oops! That was wrong. Ah well.) My son laughs since that was a field of study for him.
