After one fairly successful shoot fro a rooftop, I was game to try another. But the townhall roof was just too much for me, so I beat a fairly hasty retreat. While I could possibly have managed to stay up there, I was going to ave to stay way way back from the edge, and photos from the centre of the roof would have been almost pointless. And even from the centre, I wasn't going to enjoy myself one tiny little bit.
Two photos of my friends cavorting around up there. We met at 5:30, and yes it was early and still pretty dark.
I wandered about down below taking a few photos while I waited for the boys so we could go out to breakfast together. I mean, getting up at 4 can make a
boy geezer hungry.
Well, it was definitely worth it to get up so early to get such gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteA bit jealous that you have camera buddies and connections to get up on such an interesting location. Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteRather them than me. I'd just join you for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some really nice pics there! Love the light on the water, the soft glowing colours of the sky (or clouds) and the clock-tower all lit up is superb!
ReplyDeleteGreat time for fun and for taking pics as today is a real stinker, heat-wise! I'm staying indoors today, safe and cool with..... wait for it...... The AC is on!. LOL. (couldn't resist). :-)
From the idjit grandma with broken bones, nice shots, idjits. 😕
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSome great shots -- I really need to follow your cue and drag myself out of bed early one of these days.
ReplyDeleteYour comment about staying back from the roofs edge made me thinks perhaps you had vertigo similar to mine. I never go near "edges" unless there is a very sturdy fence or a railing to hand on too...;)
ReplyDeleteYou work so hard at thsi! I guess it helps to have a group!
ReplyDeleteNot sure how I would feel on that roof: it seems pretty steep!!
ReplyDeleteI like the purpley pink in the sky!
ReplyDeleteEwwww 4am, too early for me. Is Tim's open at that time? I would definitely require a strong coffee at that time of the morning, especially if I had to go up on the sloping roof. And have an expensive camera in my hand too.
Like you, John, my photo opps would also have been from ground level. Early morning shots are often much nicer than later in the day and I liked yours.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got up even if it weren't on the roof. Love the ones with the falls.
