How Do You Like Dem Apples?

Last weekend we had Nikki Dee out for a ride and stopped to visit the horses in these pictures. Because she kept trying to feed them twigs and straw that she scavenged from the ground, we decided to take her back later in the week along with some apples. Unsurprisingly, she was hesitant to get close enough for them to take the apples from her. So, it was left up to the Bupster.

When the apples were done, she went back to offering them twigs and straw.

Turns out that the critters weren't terribly interested, but they did hang around hoping for more apples.

Love the pics of the kiddos and the horses. I liked your previous post about the long distance calls. You big teddy bear. Wish more kids these days would finish that college before getting married and taking on parenthood. Blessings to you all.

Ahhh.. memories are made of such as this. I remember visiting my sister and there was this horse named Bill that we would always stop and say hi to. Now it is only a memory. The field now is a parking lot.

I thought about this last week if you would take smudge back with apples, so cute she felt safer with the grass......:-) Hugs

Beautiful photos. I'm sure Nikki Dee enjoyed watching the horses eat the apples. Making memories.

The large horses are quite daunting for a wee person. In fact, I know some adults that would not come close. It is unpleasant when they step on your foot. I know!

You need to find her some miniture horses or a large dog like my Great Dane, Heidi, as a substitute.
