Camp Day

I trust all you good Canadians will be going to Tim Hortons today, more than once if you possibly can. This is the day that the revenue from coffee sales goes to support their regional camps. We'll pretty well start the day there. We'll be taking The Bonnie Wee One along with us to buy kosher food in town for an upcoming distinguished guest, and our trips into town always begin at Timmy's. In fact our trips to anywhere begin there. It's the altar at which Cuppa worships and is renewed. Praise be. We could drive all of the way out west or down east, which we have, and the biggest thrill for Cuppa would be starting at Tim's ... and then hitting as many as possible. I drink extra large, double cream in a travel mug. What about you?

1/2 coffee, 1/2 hot chocolate. YUM! I miss Timmy's. Throw in a sesame bagel toasted with herb and garlic and I'm set! :)

No Timmy's in the country and the nearest Starbucks (is that sacrilege in Canada? Just advise me. If so, I will never use the word again) is probably in Amsterdam! Fortunately I bring my own coffee maker with me while on my travels and in my large mug go hot chocolate and coffee (like Mary). Mmm, I will stick to a lovely chocolaty donut though, or a jammy one...

I often do the half hot chocolate too, but not in the morning.

Some Canadians like Starbucks too. I don't particularly although I do often like coffee from places other than Tim's. I just can't get into the Starbucks groove.

I still have very fond memories of Tim Hortons after our visit to Canada a couple of years ago...!

I'm not Canadian (though my grandfather was) and don't live near enough to pop in for a cup.
Great idea, though.

I don't drink coffee. Do they give away the proceeds from tea too?

I can't tell you how much I would love to be visiting TH.

Tim Horton's is new to me but I'm sure if I lived in Canada it would quickly become a favorite.
I love it when commercial entities promote good things.

Of course don't know of TH but I am happy they do the good thing. I would love a latte now but it is too late for me to have caffeine. Hope it's getting warmer there. Raining here in eastern USA again.

I'm afraid to say it's an English Toffee, medium. Do you know how many calories are in those things? (I don't wanta know.)

That's a wonderful thing they do. We don't have Tim Horton's. We don't have Starbuck's either, for that matter (the nearest one is 3 hours away). So we have an espresso maker. :)
