Enough Already

Seriously folks: enough is enough. It's the second day of June already, but I'm tempted to turn the furnace on as I sit here in my winter jacket and woolly socks. When we've only a few weeks to go until summer officially begins, is a modicum of warmth too much to ask?

...

I've now peeked at the forecast, and it appears that the worst is over and that more seasonable temperatures are on the way. If I can just survive a few more hours without losing limbs to frostbite ...

Well here we are at 9:30 DST and we are about to melt. It is already 80o here in the south. I had planned to plant some annuals this A.M. but had a different adventure. See my blog for today.

  3. I'd swap you our heat anyday - 27 to 28, (alias 82 degrees) is too much heat for me!

I'm a little bit (actually alot!) further north than Chrisb and it's been lovely! England isn't known for it's hot and humid spring weather! Back to normal tomorrow though I think..... I hope you get some sunshine soon!

  7. I do feel extremely sorry for you.
Winter is bad enough. But to have winter eat up spring is just WRONG.
It hasn't been too bad here in Michigan.

  8. I know, I know...I've never worn my big scarves in June before, and my feet have never been so cold.

  9. AC,

I'm with you, it would be nice to have a little spring before summer gets here.

    Blessings,

  10. ...sunshine in my window this morning! Still cool, but I turned off the furnace. I have never had it run in June, but I wasn't going to freeze on principle.

  11. I put the extra winter quilt on the bed last night. I was tired of pretending it was spring. And I was cold, darnit!

  12. I've been complaining loudly about our unseasonably cold temperatures. Plus rain. Cold and damp. Not the way June is supposed to be!!!! Tomorrow promises to be at least not raining, and Saturday is supposed to be sunny and 80.
