Foto Friday

I don't normally take the fiddle over there to Nikki Dee's, but since it was already at the door the other day ...

Actually, once she got used to me playing grinding and screeching on it a bit, and once she discovered that she wasn't going to get her turn, she pretty well let me be. In my books, that constitutes an minor miracle.

We're off to the cottage/camp/cabin (take your pick depending on where you're from, but it's cottage to us) this weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving with the inlaws. The weather forecast is good, and the colour should still be pretty wonderful too. That's four whole days off the Nikki Dee detail; as much as I adore her, I greatly anticipate to the respite.

I don't think it's a holiday in the USA or other parts, but being in a more northerly clime, we have our TG much earlier here than down there in the tropical USA.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here, although we do have a Harvest Sunday. I hope you enjoy the break away, and return rested and refreshed.

Hey juncle! Was just thinking about you, checking up on your bloggy, missing you and the rest of the family on this, your get-away weekend, happy to see a pic of you playing the fiddle.

I think you should definitely bring it up to riverwood and share the music, despite how much screeching may or may not be involved (I suspect 'may not' is the likelier of the choices), I know I I'd love to have a listen.

Happy Thanksgiving--yes, you (in Canada) are about 6 weeks ahead of the U.S. Thanksgiving. I always assumed that was so you wouldn't have to slog through mountains of snow in late November. Now, with the climate changing, that may not be an issue anymore.
But have a happy one, nevertheless.

We do not have "thanksgiving", but it is a lovely tradition. Enjoy the weekend away!

The little one will need to learn to step dance soon. Then you could play and she could dance.

Have a lovely Thanksgiving!

A sweet picture. One of the questions on a recent crossword puzzle was "what month do the Canadian's celebrate Thanksgiving?"
Now I know !
