The Boy recently copied a movie DVD for us, but we couldn't watch it on our tv because the format wasn't compatible. However, it would play on my laptop. So, that's what we did last night: went to bed early and watched the movie. My laptop has a 17" screen and a very crisp display, so it wasn't a strain at all.
Cuppa found it pretty darn amusing that I wanted to take and post a picture of us watching a movie in bed, but she's a pretty good sport and acquiesced with the proviso that she could vet the picture before it went up for all of the world to see. She did, and here it is. I don't really know why I'm posting it: just because it's January and I'm getting silly, I guess.
I'm glad that this one was free; I wouldn't have been pleased to shell out theatre prices for it.
You HAVE to give us the title and a semi-review! You can't just dis a movie and then not tell us what it is!
ReplyDeleteHow slightly coincidental. Last evening we lost power out in Deertown for several hours. Faced with the prospect of having to engage in conversation, my wife and I lit some candles around the bedroom and climed under the sheets... and watched a DVD on our fully charged laptop. So there we were, nestled under the duvet in our flannel pajamas, sharing a pint of Ben & Jerry's and watching "Daddy Daycare" by candlelight.
ReplyDeleteKind of sad actually. :)
That is very very cute :)
ReplyDeleteSimply Coll sent me this way. I've been reading back on some of your posts. This is a wonderful blog! Thoroughly entertaining. :)
The politics thing... I hear you and most others who commented. ;)
Now that really looked cozy, maybe someday I will learn to post photos - like when I'm much older and if I live that long. :) ec
ReplyDeleteI love the photo and the fact that it is quite ok to be silly.. especially in January.
ReplyDeletea buddy of mine visited from Ajax back in early November. He stayed at the Palliser Hotel and we decided to rent a movie. We figured the suite was the place, however the TV didn't have video ins, so we couldn't accommodate his laptop. It was an older unit, the sound was crappy and the picture poor, so we went for a tour of Calgary instead. Your photo is cute - good of you both to be so sporting!
ReplyDeleteCute! The modern couple.
ReplyDeleteI like that. Needed some cheery moments today.
ReplyDeleteMy kind of post - eccentric, creative, personal. Just great!
ReplyDeleteSt. Paul says I be thinking you might be losing it. Winter does strange things and even though most comments say cute I would not be "exposing" myselves for the www to see . By the way no heat in the house by the looks of the attire! You probably got those nice new cowboy boots on under the sheets.
ReplyDeleteAre they western or cowboy boots?
Very cute! One day the young'uns will look at the photo and say, "Remember when they had to watch movies on a computer??"
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of clothes to wear in bed.
ReplyDeleteHa! That looks so funny! But it's okay, I also do that sometimes, watch a DVD on my laptop and get comfortable in bed. This is the main reason I bought a laptop. It just doens't work well with a normal PC! LOL!
