I think that it's time to for another breathless instalment of Poignant Posts. Here are a few that I've noted recently. I think I'll list them without further comment this time. As usual, in trying to keep the list down to a reasonable length, I've not included some fine posts.
- Leftovers - 1 and leftovers - 2 from blueberrypatch
- Life: "The Magical Mystery Tour" from Musings and Meanderings From Mimico
- The Sacrament of the Table from maison madcap
- The Bible and Homosexuality from Deep Thought Pub
- "The March of Folly" in Iraq from Octogenarian
I always enjoy being pointed in a good direction. My jury duty is now officially over, and I plan to chill - not up there, just here, with some good reading.
ReplyDeleteWow AC, I'm honored to have made the list.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, of what kind of wood is the fence post in the pic - just curious. ec
great links... thanks!
ReplyDelete(p.s. love the fridge!!)
Mr Eddie
ReplyDeleteThere's more pine up there than anything else, but I really don't know. They're pretty old, I think.
AC
Cedar, I bet. Cedar was plentiful and easy to cut. And it has the added advantage of being nearly impervious to rot. Cedar posts can resist rot for sixty or seventy years sometimes. Pine wouldn't last two years in the ground.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the honourable mention, AC!
I've read mreddie and madcap and I agree. I'll have to check out the others, especially octo---. I'm not there yet but not missing it by far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, AC - even if you do make me blush!
