... and just in case anyone might, for some strange reason, give a hoot, we had our first significant snowfall last night. In fact, it is still falling slightly, and it is almost noon. The major drawback is that people have to get to work through it all, as did our daughter whose normal half hour journey tripled in time. I think we should all get a snow day on these occasions, but my thinking matters little.

The font is just fine for me, AC.
ReplyDeletePS Mr. Personality loves your site! He always says "Christmas trains!" when he sees it.
OK - go ahead and rub it in. :) The closest thing we have got in the line of frozen precip is freezing rain - about 20 miles north of us! Just keep sending the pictures though - absolutely beautiful! ec
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks lovely. Is it still snowing there. We are into day three of continual snow here.
ReplyDeleteAdding another post here :-).
ReplyDeleteYour font size works fine for me. I am also very aware of this font issue and have just increased the font size on my own blog. As a side note..l do use a 800X600 resolution.. mainly for visually reasons.
Yes.. night photos are very tricky.. especially with no tripod. I must have snapped close to thirty the other night.. and ended up with about 4 good ones. But when you do get a good one .. it is so worth the effort. Thank goodness for the delete option on digital cameras.
I think you photo looks lovely.
Oh man I wish it would snow like that here this year, I love snow!
ReplyDeleteI want snow like that, with no tracks or tire marks. All we have here is a little frost, but I'm going to photograph it. Coll's comment about the delete feature in a camera - wow, I've got to check to see if my camera has one. I know you've sometimes got to take 30 images just to get 1 or 2 good ones - and that is what I learned 30 years ago in a photography class. These new cameras really do help a lot.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of snow too. So pretty but tough driving.
ReplyDeleteIf it snowed like that here people just wouldn't go to work. The ice we had the other morning closed the banks. But then falling off these mountain roads is not unheard of even in good weather.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Blogging in 2006.
ReplyDeleteI was about to post a comment about the amount of snow, then noticed that it looks like the BBQ has been neglected during these snowy months. Are we the only fools who BBQ in the snow?
